Abstract

The logistics sector plays a fundamental role for companies to be able to be competitive and meet the desires of the consumer, and quality tools can contribute a lot to solving problems in this sector. Thus, the main objective of this study is to apply quality tools in the logistics area of a company that distributes personal care products in Goiás, seeking to raise the quality of service levels, through the diagnosis and resolution of problems. of the processes. For this, starting from an action research, the mapping of processes was carried out, through the elaboration of flowcharts, the Brainstorming to discuss and diagnose the central problem, the Ishikawa Diagram to list the root causes and, finally, the 5W2H tool to develop the action plan. Thus, the processes of assembly and loading of goods at the distribution center and vehicle maintenance were mapped, so that the diagnosis showed a failure in communication between the departments. As an action plan, it was proposed the development of information panels that can be fed with the data available in the company's system and training for employees.
