Risk assessment about violence against women in Gurupi To
Abstract
This is a study carried out at the Specialized Police Station for Combating Violence against Women in the Municipality of Gurupi –To, carried out from August 2020 to March 2021 and aimed to assess the risk of violence against women who sought the attendance. Semi-structured interviews were carried out to apply Part I of the Frida Questionnaire (National Risk Assessment Form), which was statistically evaluated. Regarding the results, they are in line with the findings regarding the profile of the aggressors, they have an average of 28 years, elementary school, they are aggressive, persecutors, they are former partners, they have already committed violent acts such as suffocation, slapping, shoving, burning. Regarding the victim, she is on average 25.83 years old and has high school education, does not depend financially on her former partners and has children with them. Regarding the risk, the high risk was verified, since the nature of the attacks was violent, reaching the need for medical care and the most serious, most of them stated that the former partners had a gun or had easy access to a firearm, which increases the risk for femicide.
