Perfil epidemiológico e efeitos da Estratégia de Saúde da Família sobre Doenças Crônicas Não Transmissíveis em pacientes da UBS Araguaína Sul no período de 2015 a 2017
Abstract
This article aims to describe the epidemiological profile of patients at the Araguaína Sul Basic Health Unit from 2015 to 2017 in the city of Araguaína-TO, correlating them with the effectiveness of family health strategy actions in the assisted population. It is a study of descriptive quantitative analysis, in which it was possible to interpret the panorama of primary care in the Araguaína Sul sector between the years 2015 and 2017. Of the mandatory medical records, 53% of patients came from Araguaína, 6% from cities in the region of Araguaína (Muricilândia, Aragominas, Wanderlândia, Babaçulândia). From the analyzed sample, 54% of the individuals are 59 years old or more. This corroborates the fact that chronic diseases are more prevalent in the elderly population, considering the best methods of diagnosis, treatment and monitoring. The results of this epidemiological study reveal the importance of chronic diseases in affecting the Brazilian population and the comparison with previous studies reveal the consolidation of our epidemiological transition. We moved from a health model with high mortality rates to morbidity rates. In this study, it can be seen that the most prevalent diseases among eligible patients were systemic arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus.
