Caracterização físico-química de água descartada de destilador de Universidade do Sul do Tocantins para fins de reúso
Abstract
Water is one of the most important natural resources on earth and that is why it is necessary to conserve it, as well as the adoption of alternatives to minimize waste. Among the proposals, there is the possibility of reusing discarded water from laboratory distillers, which, when observed, its quality can serve several purposes. In this context, the present project will aim to assess the quality of the wastewater from the distillers in the laboratories of the University of Gurupi through physical-chemical analysis (pH, temperature, electrical conductivity, total hardness, acidity, alkalinity and chlorides). The samples to be analyzed will be water from the laboratory and water discharged in the distillation process. As a result of this research, it was observed that the results of the physical-chemical analysis of tap water and disposal are within the limits established by current legislation. Therefore, it was possible to prove that the distilled water discarded from the laboratories of the University of Gurupi can be reused for the purpose of non-potable reuse, such as cleaning floors, sidewalks, windows or yards, washing laboratory glassware and irrigating areas thus avoiding considerable waste.
