Cross-sectional, retrospective study with a quantitative and descriptive approach by consulting the database of the Ministry of Health's Notifiable Disease Information System and the epidemiological bulletin of arboviruses from the Tocantins health department, from January 2018 to December 2019. 16,962 dengue notifications were verified, with the state of Tocantins having the highest number of notifications in 2019 compared to the states in the northern region of Brazil. In relation to the age group, a greater number of cases was identified between 20 and 59 years old, being that above 30 years old the highest frequency was female. dengue is still an important public health problem.
