Gestação em adolescentes vítimas de violência sexual e complicações obstétricas e perinatais.

Abstract

Sexual abuse is considered a public health problem, occurring in any situation of non-voluntary sexual contact, with or without penetration or touch, that occurs through physical force, coercion or inability to consent. This work sought to carry out a study on the clinical-epidemiological profile of adolescents who were victims of sexual violence who had a pregnancy. The information for this work was obtained through the analysis of medical records at a service dedicated to victims of sexual violence. There were pregnancies in 96 of the patients, most of them from countryside cities. Most of the abuse was committed acutely and by the victim's partner. In most cases there was consent by the victims. The main maternal complications presented were pre-eclampsia, eclampsia and abortion, the latter occurring legally in some cases. There were no maternal deaths. Among the neonatal complications, there were prematurity, low birth weight, neonatal infection, malformation, as well as admission to the neonatal intermediate care unit and neonatalf intensive care unit. Two newborns died. Therefore, this research presented the characteristics of adolescent victims of sexual violence that progressed to pregnancy, as well as the complications presented by them and by the newborns when they were born in the hospital where the research was carried out.
