Abstract

A restoration to be considered ideal must return the aesthetics and function to the element, so that these purposes are achieved, in some cases, the use of intraradicular retainers may be necessary. The objective is to make a comparison between reconstruction of pulpless teeth with fiberglass post and without fiberglass post with composite resin through a clinical case report. A 68-year-old male patient attended the Clínica Escola de Odontologia da Universidade de Gurupi – UnirG to receive dental treatment. The clinical and radiographic examination showed that elements 13 and 22 had a fractured clinical crown and had previously been endodontically treated. At the end of the study, it is concluded that the use of fiberglass posts, provided they are anatomized with composite resin, are an excellent option for rehabilitation of endodontically treated teeth, restoring their function and aesthetics. On the other hand, fiberglass is a very simple material to use due to its flexibility, in addition to having several advantages in its application, as it is a simpler, replicable, faster, conservative and biomimetic technique when compared to the traditional technique already cited.
