Abstract

Academic life is characterized as a stressful environment, therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the PE rate in students of the Biomedicine course at the State University of Pará (UEPA). This is a quantitative, cross-sectional study, using an online form, with questions to characterize the respondent and the Stress Perception Scale-10 (EPS-10) test, with analysis based on Kam's projection and the designed Domains Instrument. from Raulino. 46 students participated, with an average EPS-10 of 27.7 and an average age of 21.3 years, 37 (80%) of whom were female, with an average EPS-10 of 27.5 and an average age of 21.6 years old, and 9 (20%) were male, with an average EPS-10 of 26.1 and an average age of 21 years old. Of these, 11 (23.91%) were from the class of 2019 with an average EPS-10 of 27.7, 7 (15.22%) from 2020 with an average EPS-10 of 28.1, 15 (32.61% ) of 2021 with an average EPS-10 of 27.9 and 13 (28.26%) of 2022 with an average EPS-10 of 28.2. The results indicate a moderate perception of stress, without significant variations between veterans and freshmen, and highlight the importance of continuous monitoring and psychological support from institutions.
