Analysis of the Influence of layout on basic health services in the city of Mariana - MG

Abstract

We sought to understand the best layout model for basic health units in the city of Mariana-MG, through the analysis of five physical arrangements of Family Health Strategies (ESFs) in the same city. To this end, bibliographic and documentary research was carried out. The results show that the city analyzed had, in 2022, ESFs that do not meet the structure recommended by the Ministry of Health. Furthermore, it was shown that the municipality of Mariana-MG uses adapted arrangements for health care, which could compromise the organization and the arrangement of equipment and people. The research points to the importance of studying the layout for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of health centers and indicates, for public policy makers, that the structuring of health centers must be thought of and structured not only as a policy in itself, but that its implementation must be monitored and evaluated, so that the assumptions of accessibility and availability of services are met, in order to serve the unprecedented population.
