Análise da incompletude do preenchimento das notificações de hanseníase em Palmas, 2022 a 2023.

Abstract

Leprosy is an infectious disease, with a long period of clinical latency caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium leprae that affects the skin and peripheral nerves, which can lead to physical disabilities and deformities. Leprosy is part of the register of notifiable diseases throughout the national territory. This work aims to analyze the information generated from records in the SINAN and DATASUS database in the years 2022 and 2023. This is an epidemiological study, carried out using information of a retrospective, descriptive nature, with a quantitative approach. In the years analyzed, there were 1,197 new cases of people with leprosy, of which: 699 records did not contain the patient's type of exit; 3 tokens did not specify the entry mode; 18 records not presented in notified clinical form; 23 forms did not indicate disability at the time of notification; 866 the type of inability to cure the patient; and 555 did not report reactional episodes. The lack of completion of several fields on the notification form demonstrates a weakness. It is essential to intensify and strengthen health surveillance actions related to leprosy, health promotion and the implementation of interventions aimed at reducing cases.
