Abstract

Coffee, the second most consumed beverage in the world, is vital to the global economy. This bibliometric study analyzed 2,569 articles on Coffea arabica and C. canephora (2015–2024) from the Web of Science database. A significant growth in scientific output was observed, with emphasis on Plant Sciences, Agronomy, and Food Science and Technology. Brazil leads in production and collaboration, supported by agencies such as CNPq and CAPES. Research covers genetics, climate, quality, and nanotechnology. The keyword co-occurrence network reveals the multidisciplinary nature of the field. Highly cited papers address management, environmental impact, and innovation. Coffee research is strategic, dynamic, and key to sustainable development.
