Identificação da incidência de ideação suicida no Serviço Escola de Psicologia da Universidade de Gurupi: uma intervenção psicoeducativa
Abstract
Suicide is considered a serious public health issue, and among its stages, suicidal ideation stands out as an important risk factor, demanding preventive attention. This study aimed to identify the incidence of suicidal ideation based on the analysis of archived psychological triage forms from the Psychology Training Clinic at the University of Gurupi (SEPsi), referring to the years 2023 and 2024. This is a documentary research study, descriptive in nature and with a quantitative approach, which analyzed 320 forms, of which 76 contained records of suicidal ideation, planning, or attempts, corresponding to 23.75% of the sample. The results revealed significant data indicating the need for strategies that address not only the individual, but also the strengthening of family ties. As a practical contribution, two psychoeducational booklets were developed to provide support both for trainees, regarding the management of such cases, and for other service users. It is concluded that suicidal ideation is notably present in the analyzed context, reinforcing the relevance of the topic and the need for further studies to deepen knowledge and strengthen prevention efforts.
