A atuação do Psicólogo na Atenção Básica do município de Gurupi-TO: A visão dos profissionais de saúde das equipes multiprofissionais

Abstract

Primary Health Care is the preferred gateway for users to access the Unified Health System, and should have the highest degree of resolution for the cases treated. Its main program is the Family Health Strategy, with essential work carried out in Basic Health Units by Family Health teams. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (eMulti), which include psychologists, expanding mental health care in Primary Care. This research investigated the role of psychologists in primary care from the perspective of health professionals in multidisciplinary teams in the municipality of Gurupi, Tocantins. This is an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The results were obtained through semi-structured interviews with the professionals who make up the multidisciplinary teams. The variables were analyzed in three phases of content analysis proposed by Bardin. The research provided clarification about the role of psychologists in primary care, revealing a broader view of the health team regarding the role of psychologists, not restricted to individualized clinical care.
