Abstract

The present article aims to conduct a scientometric analysis of the scientific production on the incorporation of steelmaking slag into cementitious matrices, covering publications from 2000 to 2025. For this purpose, data from the Scopus database were used and analyzed using RStudio (Bibliometrix) and VOSviewer, enabling the identification of the temporal evolution of publications, the main journals, authors, and countries, as well as the mapping of research trends, collaboration patterns, and existing research gaps in the field. The analysis revealed a total of 1,601 articles published in 368 distinct journals, with China, India, the United States, South Korea, and Italy being the main contributing countries, accounting for approximately 72.77% of the documents. The most influential journals with the highest number of publications were Construction and Building Materials, Materials, Journal of Building Engineering, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Case Studies in Construction Materials. Among the most prominent authors in this research area are Wen Ni, Shaopeng Wu, Jiaxiang Liu, Wang Qiang, and Ricardo A. F. Peixoto.
