Análise da cobertura vacinal contra a dengue em Palmas-TO no ano 2024
Abstract
The present study aimed to analyze dengue vaccination coverage in the municipality of Palmas, Tocantins, in the year 2024. This is an exploratory, observational study with a quantitative approach, conducted using secondary data from the health information systems SI-PNI, Localiza SUS, and e-SUS. The doses administered were analyzed according to age group, sex, and period of administration. The results showed low vaccination coverage across all age groups, with higher adherence among adolescents aged 10 to 14 years, the target population of the campaign, which presented coverage of 10.6% for the first dose and 8.2% for the second dose. In the general population aged 4 to 59 years, coverage was lower, reaching 4.1% for the first dose and 1.7% for the second dose, indicating vaccination follow-up loss. Greater adherence was observed among females, and an increase in applications occurred after the age group expansion. It is concluded that vaccination coverage remains below the recommended level, highlighting the need to intensify immunization strategies.
