PERCEPÇÃO DE ENFERMEIROS QUANTO A SUA AUTONOMIA NA ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA EM SAÚDE
Abstract
Introduction: Nurses are essential professionals in Primary Health Care (PHC), for the development and integral planning of their health actions. SUS in line with the objectives of the Family Health Strategy causes the professional profile of nurses to undergo positive changes, especially with regard to their identity. Objective: To characterize the nurses' perception regarding their professional autonomy in Primary Health Care in the city of Paraíso do Tocantins - TO. Methodology: descriptive field research, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, which followed the ethical precepts of resolution CNS 466/12. The research audience was nurses from the Family Health Strategy and the data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire containing (10) objective questions in the Likert model. Results and discussion: According to the results approach, it was possible to identify that nurses say that they do not consider their full autonomy in PHC, in such a way that many of them related their decisions to those of other professionals, and the nurses' credibility in relation to population is considered satisfactory, even with the biomedical culture. Protocols and legislation were identified as assistants, even though they limited certain actions. New discussions on nurses' autonomy, as well as strategies for their expansion were proposed by nurses. Conclusion: The research managed to achieve its objectives and elucidate the points in relation to the nurse's autonomy, presenting the discussions about the biomedical model that makes autonomy difficult and, realizing the professionals' desire for new scientific and practical explanations.
