Abstract

Objective: to verify the most diagnosed BI-RADS categories per Brazilian region from 2019 to 2021. Methodology: Quantitative, exploratory and retrospective study, carried out by consulting the available databases in the Cancer Information System (SISCAN) in the DATA SUS – TABNET databases, made available by the Information Technology Department of the Unified Health System (SUS), at the electronic address (http://www.datasus.gov.br). Data from the years 2019 to 2021 were extracted. For data analysis, they were tabulated in the Microsoft Excel version 20.0 program and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: There was a greater number of diagnoses in the BI-RADS 1 and 2 categories in the three years analyzed. The Southeast and Northeast regions had the highest number of diagnoses. Conclusion: Most of the findings occur in categories 1 and 2 of the BI-RADS®, which means SUS efficiency in prevention and early detection.
