Revisão sistemática sobre o uso da modelagem matemática em monitoramento do transporte de sedimentos e qualidade da água em rios

Abstract

Water quality is currently being threatened by a number of factors. Sediment transport is something that has been studied as it is a process responsible for much of the pollution in rivers and oceans. Climate change, erosion and silting of rivers continue to be a cause for concern and studies to contain environmental manipulation. The use of mathematical modeling in the search for new solutions and mitigation of environmental impacts provides the creation of scenarios through simulations. These can help and show scenarios that are very close to reality, if the model is well calibrated. The objective of this work is to analyze the literature on the use of mathematical modeling in monitoring sediment transport and water quality in rivers. As a methodology, a systematic review was carried out to verify the importance of using mathematical modeling in studies related to sediment transport in rivers. Resulting in twenty-four articles accepted following eligibility criteria.
