Desenvolvimento Socioemocional e Protagonismo Juvenil no contexto do Acolhimento Institucional: um relato de experiência
Abstract
This experience report presents a socio-educational intervention carried out with adolescents in institutional care at Casa Criança Cidadã in Gurupi, Tocantins (Brazil). The project, developed within the Graduate Program in Social Education at UnirG University, aimed to foster socio-emotional development and youth protagonism through workshops based on the animated films Inside Out 1 and Inside Out 2. The intervention culminated in the creation of two pedagogical tools: the Emotion Wall and the Emotion Jar, designed for daily emotional reflection and dialogue. Using a participatory and dialogical methodology grounded in Paulo Freire's pedagogy and Social Education, the experience promoted emotional awareness, empathy and autonomy. The outcomes highlight the importance of integrating emotional education into social-educational contexts and strengthening interprofessional collaboration within care institutions.
Keywords: social education; socio-educational intervention; institutional care; emotional competencies; youth protagonism.
