As na infotmation base, the Integrated Server Health Care Subsystem (SIASS) was used, based on analyzes of the epidemiological and occupational variables of the leaves of the institution’s employees, being organized by independente variables (sex, age, lenght of service) in the instituution, professional category, number of days away from work) and dependentes (CID 10 diagnosis). The results showed that the average absence from work due to CMD was 31,3%, with the CID F40-18 being the most prevalente, followed by the CID F30-39, with a predominance off emales, the age group between 30 to 39 years and time in the institution between 4 to 6 years of work. The professional category did not presente a statistically significant difference for the number of absences (p>0,05). In relation to the loss of days of work, the teachers showed superiority in relation to the TAE’s. It is hoped that this study can contribute to the implementation of more effective preventive, health promotion and rehabilitation strategies, in order to minimize sick leave and recurrences resulting from CMD in the institution.
