Abstract

This study aims to describe the distribution and characterization of COVID-19 cases in the II Health Region between the years 2020 and 2021. An ecological study was carried out, using the descriptive statistics method to characterize the cases. The distribution and construction of thematic maps were based on incidence rates. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee, under opinion number 5,873,018. 31,013 cases of COVID-19 were registered. In Gripal Syndrome, in females, the age group is 30 between nd 39 years. The SARS/COVID-19 cases were male, the age group was 50 to 59 years old, the and brown race/color was more exposed for both. Spatialization showed disparities between municipalities; those with the highest incidence rates were those with greater economic and commercial activity. In view of this, considering COVID-19 in a multifactorial way is essential to build regional planning and municipal action plans, to reduce the needs and inequities in health aggravated by COVID-19.
