Results: During the analyzed period, 3,931 cases of tuberculosis were reported in the State of Piauí. The years 2018 and 2019 showed the highest prevalence of cases of the disease. Males were the most affected, representing 64.91% of cases in all years. 1,393 of the individuals diagnosed with tuberculosis had incomplete primary education. Conclusion: Early detection of tuberculosis is essential to offer preventive treatment, and strategies must be implemented to guide and encourage the search for health services at an early stage.
