Caracterização dos acidentes de trabalho em um municípiodo estado de Goiás, 2013 a 2022

Abstract

An accident at work is one that occurs as a result of carrying out work on behalf of a company, causing bodily injury or functional disturbance that causes death or the loss or reduction, permanent or temporary, of the ability to work. The objective of this study was to describe the epidemiological profile of work accidents in a municipality in the state of Goiás. Descriptive study with data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), via Occupational Health Surveillance in the municipality of Aparecida de Goiânia, about work accidents reported between 2013 and 2022. Sociodemographic variables, accident characteristics and case evolution were considered. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. There were 9,091 work accidents in the period analyzed, the majority of which were male (74.8%), aged between 20 and 34 years old (42.2%), with complete secondary education (36.0%) and race brown (69.4%). The typical accident predominated in the occurrences (76.1%), the hands were the part of the body most affected in accidents (23.2%) and in 38.3% of cases there was no CAT issued. Knowledge of the epidemiological profile of work accidents can guide better targeted health strategies in the area of worker health.
