Therapeutic approach for the treatment of Systemic Arterial Hypertension in Primary Health Care

Abstract

Systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) results from the combination of genetic factors and lifestyle habits, poor diet and sedentary lifestyle, affecting target organs and patients' quality of life. The study aims to highlight the therapeutic approaches of Primary Health Care (PHC) in the treatment of SAH and its impact on patients' lives, emphasizing the importance of early detection and intervention. This research is a systematic review of therapeutic approaches in the treatment of hypertension in PHC. Articles indexed in the Virtual Health Library were selected to carry out the research, addressing therapeutic and educational strategies for the treatment of SAH. The results analyzed strategies to deal with lack of adherence to SAH treatment, highlighting the importance of communication between doctor and patient and satisfaction with antihypertensive therapy. The importance of personalized and integrated strategies in PHC is highlighted to ensure efficient treatment of the disease and improve patient well-being. Thus, this work highlights the importance of improving diagnostic protocols, intervention strategies and the quality of life of patients with SAH, highlighting the need for an integrated PHC approach to treating the disease.
