Abstract

To explore the level of physical activity, food consumption, perception of stress and the signs and symptoms of intestinal dysbiosis in graduate students in Physical Education during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an observational and cross-sectional study with graduate students (n=21), mean age of 22 years and SD=1.88. Instruments used: profile questionnaire, Metabolic Tracking Questionnaire, Bristol Scale, Perceived Stress Perception Scale, International Physical Activity Questionnaire and 24-hour Recall. Signs and symptoms of dysbiosis were observed in 57.1% (n=12) of the participants, 47.6% (n=10) were classified as very active and there was a negative association between dietary fiber intake and dysbiosis (p=0.0136). Graduate students of the Physical Education course remained active during the COVID-19 pandemic and showed less signs and symptoms of intestinal dysbiosis.
